More life stories + more humble voices = Meet our new interviewers!
We love this equation: More life stories + more humble voices = A Lasting Tale is growing!
Let us introduce you to our new interviewers. A lovely bunch of caring creatives, interviewing across Australia.
Here at A Lasting Tale, we call our interviewers “caring creatives” because that’s exactly who we are. Creative professionals who care passionately about hearing the voices and stories of our loved elders. So, who are we?
Bronwen O’Shea is a former ABC radio presenter who has spent more than 20 years helping people share their stories on-air, online and on stage. Her parents say she was inviting strangers to dinner from the age of four, so she was destined for a career based on curiosity and conversation!
Rachel McNamara is an actor, director and teaching artist. A mother to two children, Rachel is a lover of words, music and echidnas. She has been influenced by Wilma, her “day mum”, who taught Rachel about unconditional love and the value of singlets.
Kate Holland is our Adelaide interviewer, and she has had a varied career working as a sporting coach, theatre instructor, publicist, and copywriter, before starting a hefty stint working with the ABC (a long-held dream) as a radio producer. She lives in a loud and lively household replete with three children, lots of music, and a border terrier and rabbit (that are mostly friends). The activity that fills her soul is singing harmonies.
And of course, Dimity Brassil (founder) is still interviewing far and wide (plus she is our Zoom interview go-to). Dimity Brassil has worked as a professional writer, adult educator, content producer and interviewer for over 20 years. Dimity’s an aunty to nineteen, youngest of nine, mother of three, daughter from two, wife of one, and chats to many. She tries to follow the life advice “You’ve got to be interested to be interesting”.
